The first scholarship endowed by a former visualization student has been established by Gracie Arenas Strittmatter, who earned a Master of Science in Visualization at Texas A&M in 2008.
Strittmatter and her husband, Willem Strittmatter ’02, have established the Rising Aggie Vizzer in Gaming Scholarship Fund, which will provide one or more scholarships to full-time graduate or undergraduate visualization students.
Gracie is a senior technical artist at Bioware, where she has helped create three “Star Wars: The Old Republic” video games. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree at Texas A&M in 2004.
Williem earned two business administration degrees at Texas A&M.
The scholarship was established just after Texas A&M’s graduate visualization program was ranked among the world’s best by The Princeton Review.
The graduate viz program was recently ranked as one of the world’s best.
