Viz undergrads showcase work in May 2 art, animation exhibition

Art and animations created by undergraduate visualization students will be showcased May 2 in a semester-culminating exhibition at the Langford Architecture Center.

The two-part public show includes a 5 – 6 p.m. art exhibit, headquartered in the Langford B Exhibit Hall and spread throughout the public spaces in Langford C, followed by a 6 – 7 p.m. screening of work from sophomore, junior and senior animation studios in the Preston Geren Auditorium.

Exhibits include guardian figure sculptures, life-size self-portraits, giant murals, video and experimental interactive installations, comical motion graphics, digital paintings depicting a dystopian future and more.

The following weekend, in concert with the annual showcase of graduate visualization student work, Viz-a-Gogo 19, in downtown Bryan, The Village Cafe, 210 West 26th Street, will host an exhibit of digital paintings by visualization undergrads. Proceeds from the sale will support visualization scholarships.
