Semester Concludes with Fall Shows

The fall 2010 semester concluded with two successful student exhibitions. The first show featured flatwork, sculptures, and animated projects created by students in the undergrad (VIST) program.

Students Explore Animated-Art

Under the direction of Donna Hajash, Phillip Galanter, and Junghee Hahm, students in VIST-105 explored the foundational elements of 2D animation by creating shadow puppets reminiscent of those first used when the art of “animated” visual-storytelling began.

PIXAR Visits Viz

McLaughlin receives motion-study grant

Department Head, Tim McLaughlin was featured in a news story regarding his National Science Foundation research grant. Tim and co-investigator, Ann McNamara will research the perception of motion, specifically animals and the traits they exhibit.

VIST 2010 Fall Semester Begins
